  • Provision of assistance to the Academics Director, as and when required;

  • Doing research, analysing and writing on a wide spectrum of thematic issues covered through monitoring mainstream journals, newspapers, websites, and other sources;

  • Maintaining and developing the institution thematically organised digital archive (this includes some administrative tasks, such as keeping track of library books, etc.)

  • Producing daily, weekly, or fortnightly briefs, and other research or writing assistance as needed;

  • Editing of publications of CSCR and its sub projects;

  • Dealing with the administrative issues related to the publications of the CSCR;

  • Assisting the Operations & Outreach Directorate in the provision of content relevant to internal event management, including lectures, workshops, and academic conferences;

  • Furnishing media scripts and information on thematic issues for the Creative Directorate;

  • Academic outreach on social mediums (e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.);

  • Liaison and assistance as required to the Social Media team; and,

  • Provision of training, supervision and assessment of the relevant directorate internees.

Qualification Required

  • The candidate should have a postgraduate degree in a relevant field (journalism, political science, economics, international relations, or another academic field). Prior work experience will be preferred.

  • The candidate must be fluent in English and possess excellent writing and communication skills, including for both expert and popular audiences.

  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet is mandatory.

 

Communications Assistant

Creative Assistant

Position available for Islamabad, Pakistan

  • Maintain Centre’s website and upload the articles and other related content on website;

  • Create and design promotional material for events, like brochures and videos;

  • Prepare content for internal use (like Posters, Photos etc);

  • Create customizable templates which can use for multiple purposes, including presentations and business cards;

  • Design different marketing and communication materials, including press releases, infographics and social media posters;

  • Coordinate with team members to gather images, videos, stats and content to use in various creative projects;

  • Maintain updated records of the videos, images and audios for Centre;

  • Research and recommend new ideas for strengthening the Centre.

Qualification Required

  • The candidate shall be a dynamic creative individual (Graduation in Computer Sciences or a relevant field will be a plus) with higher skills in Adobe (Photoshop/Illustrator/Indesign), Adobe (Premiere Pro/After Effect), WordPress & must have knowledge of managing the C-panel of the company’s website. Prior work experience will be preferred.

Finance & HR

  • Manage the institute’s financial matters;

  • Maintain updated record of office accounts;

  • Manage office payroll and disburse employee wages;

  • Ensure timely payment of due bills and manage other banking activity as and when required;

  • Manage office petty cash, utilizing as and when required;

  • Ensure smooth administration of office;

  • Ensure office SoPs are strictly observed in conjunction with the office HR Policy;

  • Acquire office assets as and when required, and ensure their maintenance. Maintain updated record of the same;

  • Oversee inventory of any and all office supplies and ensure their procurement/ timely replenishment;

  • Ensure upkeep of office premises;

  • Supervise domestic staff, ensuring their duties are being observed as directed;
