This research brief emphasizes on the ethnonationalist wave of terrorism in Pakistan and its dynamics. This brief seeks to address the contemporary context of ethnonationalism and the mounting concerns of the issue. It attempts to understand the ground reality of the proxy wars imposed on Pakistan by enemy forces in form of various anti-state movements diversified broadly in the country. The research brief also assesses the role of different tools of ethnonationalism and how it wedges Pakistan and its peace. The recent terror wave and developments in counter terrorism in the wake of ethnonationalist movements urged the need of articulating this research brief which encompasses the threats, roots and counter policies of the subject.
