Towards the end of 2015, Pakistan and India decided to hold Foreign Secretary (FS) level talks in early 2016. The talks were intended to resume the stalled dialogue between the neighboring
countries. Advisor to Pakistani Prime Minister (PM) on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz, said “Both leaders have agreed the two countries’ foreign secretaries will meet in Islamabad in the middle
of January to finalize the schedule for resumption of talks”.
